2025’s end is just a few weeks away, and before the year wraps up, One Piece fans have one last gift to receive from Oda. Eiichiro Oda will reveal this gift on December 21, 2025, along with the release of the last One Piece chapter of the year.

On December 21, One Piece will be on the cover of Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine with a new Oda drawing, which means fans will get to see Luffy take the lead once again, but it doesn’t stop there. One Piece will also get a new colorspread drawn by Oda, and fans are hyped.

What Will The New Color Spread and Magazine Cover Feature?

Whenever magazine covers and color spreads are revealed, fans always begin to wonder what Oda might be drawing next. Typically, these illustrations, while great, aren’t all that exciting. Magazine covers usually feature Luffy and colorspreads typically center the Straw Hat Pirates.

That said, sometimes, there can be exceptions. On the last magazine cover, for example, Oda actually drew and colored Rocks D. Xebec, Gol D. Roger, and Monkey D. Garp next to Luffy. This was very exciting, as it was the fans’ first time seeing Xebec’s color scheme.

However, this is unlikely to be the case this time. With these illustrations dropping on December 21, it will likely just be festive-themed illustrations of Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates for Christmas and the New Year. Still, fans shouldn’t count out seeing Loki on one of them, given that he’s a big part of One Piece’s Elbaf Arc.

One Piece Will Be Going On Many Breaks In The Upcoming Weeks

Oda will drop some exciting new content on December 21 with the new chapter, but after that, One Piece fans will go through a rough time.

With Oda’s scheduled breaks, as well as Jump’s own holiday breaks, there will be quite a few breaks on the way for the fans. At the very least, fans will get at least 3 breaks in December and January.

Not only that, but the One Piece anime is also going on break at the end of December. In other words, fans will be getting little to no new content from their favorite series.
